CourseNates is a simple note taking app aimed at students. CourseNotes groups notes into “sessions” which are further grouped by subject. The CourseNotes window presents the list of subjects in the left-hand column, and the notes contained in the selected session in the area at the right.
Notes can include attachments but CourseNotes does not support multi-font text. You can add sketches, and there is some support for task tracking. You can also sync your notes between your Mac and your iPhone or iPad, although syncing works through a WiFi connection to your Mac. This means your Mac and other devices must be on the same WiFi network during syncing, which is not always convenient.

CourseNotes is the most basic of note taking apps, and sports a meager feature set. The app aims to simplify note taking for students by making it easier to organize note sessions from different classes and days. Its lack of rich text support, however, is a serious shortcoming, as its simple interface which makes it impossible to manage large numbers of notes.
